Private Cathedral are a transatlantic art-pop duo dreamed up by multi-instrumentalist composers Wendy Spitzer and Genevieve Dawson. Their third single ‘Braille Upon Your Face’ is out Friday March 28th, and with it the announcement of their debut album, out May 5th on Barchan Dune Recordings.

Exploring questions of autonomy, apocalypse, death, and self-discovery, the 9 track self-titled LP is an explosive offering to the DIY art-pop oeuvre. Their intricate lyrical-sound world draws on influences from My Brightest Diamond to Tune-Yards and Cate Le Bon.

Already featured on the Line of Best Fit’s new music playlist, and praised by REM producer Mitch Easter as “terrific and truly incomparable” - the classically trained duo are set to make waves in the alternative and DIY scenes. Signed with Florida label Barchan Dune, the release will include a limited run of vinyl available to pre-order via Bandcamp now - and release shows in London (UK) and North Carolina (US) in May 2025.

The antidote to background music, a tour-de-force of musical prowess, Private Cathedral creates music for brainy iconoclasts with big feelings. Private Cathedral, the self-titled debut album is out May 5th.
